Four priority regions, with the lowest levels of socioeconomic disadvantage are the primary targets for the research aimed at developing a culturally-safe employment model: Mallee; Wimmera Southern Mallee; Loddon Campaspe; and Gippsland.

This research will support the accelerated employment, business development, and wealth accumulation for Victoria’s First Nations people and communities, supporting the Yuma Yirramboi Strategy; to deliver parity between First Nations people and the rest of the community ‘within a generation’.
