To inform the draft master plan, Greenshoot conducted range of workshops with hard-to-reach groups that were identified from Melbourne’s Water’s initial engagement phase, including culturally and linguistically diverse peoples, people with disability and youth community members.

Greenshoot facilitated engagement with project partners and community across key stages of the master planning process to increase community wellbeing by delivering multiple benefits from this land and surrounding catchment.

With significant cultural, environmental, heritage and social sites values, we also conducted interviews with project partners of Revitalising Yan Yean Reservoir, including Whittlesea Council, Parks Victoria, Melbourne Water and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Heritage Council.

Greenshoot reported shared insights generated from both streams of engagement, providing a shared vision and practical guide for the development of Revitalising Yan Yean Reservoir Masterplan. This engagement supported the continued development of the site as a valued regional recreation and open space destination for the community over the next 15 years.
