As part of a review of its Parking Permit Policy, City of Darebin engaged Greenshoot to lead community engagement. Council was particularly interested in ensuring a representative sample of the Darebin community has the opportunity to feed into the process, including members of typically hard-to-reach groups such as First Nations community members, older adults, young people, renters and culturally and linguistically diverse community members.
The engagement process presented four options to the community for feedback through a combination of online and face-to-face approaches. The four options addressed resident concerns regarding the access, cost and convenience of temporary parking permits, requirements for additional parking permits and requests for residential parking permits.
