Shepparton Reimagined Project

First Peoples Engagement

Aligning with LaTrobe University’s 2007-2010 Shepparton Campus Masterplan and the 2020-30 Strategic Plan, the Shepparton Campus Reimagined Project seeks to expand the existing Campus, on the traditional lands of the Yorta Yorta Nations.

The expansion project is required to support projected medium-term student growth and involves the reworking of the existing footprint to provide updated and improved amenity. The project presents a number of opportunities to support culturally responsive design to celebrate and give visibility to First Peoples culture and knowledge systems.

Greenshoot is undertaking a program of strategic First Peoples engagement designed to respectfully support the embedding of culture into the fabric of the landscape and building elements, creating opportunities to increase cultural safety, connection and learning with LaTrobe Shepparton constituents.

Greenshoot Consulting will undertake workshops with key constituents and stakeholders, applying our Indigenous Design Consultation Pillars to the project opportunities. Greenshoot will then work with the project’s design team to define and priorities design translation opportunities and First People’s feedback into the redesign of the Shepparton Campus.
