Visitor Economy Partnerships Model Co-Design

Vision and Strategy, Stakeholder Engagement, Workshop Facilitation, Research and Insights

Facilitating the development of new Visitor Economy Partnerships for Central Highlands (now Tourism Mid West), Central Victoria, Goulburn Regional Tourism, and Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges (now Tourism East).

Following the state-wide Visitor Economy Reform process initiated in 2023, Greenshoot was engaged to facilitate the development of a number of new Visitor Economy Partnerships (VEPs). These new structures brought together several local government areas, local tourism associations and industry representatives to form an entity which serves to bridge the gap between the key players in the Visitor Economy - state and local government and industry.

Greenshoot has also supported stakeholder engagement to inform the development of two additional groupings.

Through this engagement, we helped stakeholders co-design and agree by consensus on a future VEP model which all organisations have volunteered to join. Greenshoot facilitated the establishment of a transition plan and timeline as the basis from which to build an effective VEP aligned to the objectives of the Government reform which is well positioned to attract ongoing funding and optimise the performance of the visitor economy in the regions.
