State 2, Victoria’s second
four-year creative industries strategy.

Greenshoot worked with Creative Victoria to co-design a series of sector roundtables which addressed specific artforms and commercial elements of the Victorian creative industries as well as specific issues-based roundtables. Our team reviewed consultation reports, early drafts of the proposed strategy and strategic position papers.

The objectives of the project were to:

  • Gather well-informed views to test/validate Creative Victoria’s assumptions on key sector challenges, needs and opportunities.

  • Solicit implementable ideas to position the sector for COVID-19 recovery and long-term growth and resilience.

  • Ensure ‘buy-in’ from known and potential collaborators and authorisers including other government portfolios and agencies.

  • Build consensus, support and enthusiasm for a renewed strategy

Roundtables were delivered online to ensure we were observing the government’s advice regarding Covid restrictions, and maximising opportunity for sector input.

Greenshoot documented each roundtable and then synthesised feedback from sector stakeholders into a final report which provided Creative Victoria with direct sector feedback, as well as implementable initiatives and strategies to drive sector recovery and long-term growth.
