What the Client Needed:

The University of Melbourne wanted to deliver on the aspirations of their Elevate Reconciliation Action Plan by embedding Indigenous knowledge systems into the fabric of a new 2.5ha student precinct.

What We Did:

Greenshoot Consulting developed a comprehensive Indigenous engagement strategy and cultural narrative for the site through extensive engagement with Traditional Owners and Indigenous students and staff of the University. We developed deep insights by engaging with over 130 Indigenous stakeholders to elicit both qualitative and quantitative feedback and inform the development of the site.

The Outcome:

The development of the New Student Precinct will create a benchmark for Indigenous Engagement nationally whilst revealing a cultural narrative that is anchored in Connections to Country, Living History and Memory, Art and Artefact and Connection to People.
