What the Client Needed
RMIT School of Architecture and Urban Design engaged Greenshoot Consulting to measure the level of cross-cultural competency within the School and external industry networks., and to provide a roadmap for embedding Indigenous Knowledge and Culture in within both the School’s curricula and activities.
What We Did
Greenshoot undertook an engagement process involving a series of one-on-one interviews across arrange of stakeholder groups, including Indigenous community members, staff, students and industry partners staff to generate insights into the current state of Indigenous engagement. This information formed the basis of an accelerated solution design workshop to generate solution options and recommendations for the roadmap for stronger and embedded engagement with Traditional Owners and Indigenous knowledge systems.
The Outcome
Greenshoot produced a full Insights Report and series of recommendations which could be adopted by the school. This project represents an opportunity for the RMIT’s School of Architecture and Urban Design to set an important national benchmark for learning institutions engaging authentically with Indigenous knowledge systems.
