Hansen Yuncken (HY), Australia’s largest privately owned construction company, requested the support of Greenshoot Consulting to review the organisation’s policies regarding Indigenous participation and to design and embed a sustainable Indigenous Participation Framework as part of commitment to embracing, understanding and celebrating the rich and diverse history of Indigenous Australians
What We Did
Greenshoot undertook a comprehensive review of all HY policies. Working together with First Nation’s staff and associates, Greenshoot developed a comprehensive framework for the consideration and subsequent implementation by the HY Executive.
The “Our Roadmap for Impact: Indigenous Participation Framework” was endorsed and adopted in full by the organisational leadership. The framework recognises the reciprocal benefits of actively supporting Indigenous people and enterprise in the communities in which HY work, the contribution of Indigenous people to HY’s organisational culture and reflects HY’s aspiration as an organisation to demonstrate leadership in this domain.
It provided an organisation-wide approach to the development, implementation and monitoring of Indigenous Participation Plans tailored to each of the projects HY engage.
