Commissions
Inland Rail is seeking to engage artists or artistic teams for the commission of multiple public artworks at the Wangaratta Railway Station Precinct.
The commission is part of the Heritage Interpretation works at the station and includes three(3) separate artwork opportunities. The opportunities are as follows:
Opportunity 1: Station Entry (sculptural work by a First Nations artist)
Opportunity 2: Underpass Wall (two-dimensional work)
Opportunity 3: Rail Yard Garden (sculptural work)

EOIs may be submitted for either one(1) or multiple opportunities.

Who Can Apply
This opportunity is open to the following:
- Artists or artistic teams with relevant experience. Local, emerging or mid-career artists are encouraged to apply and should note capacity building opportunities will be provided as outlined in the Brief
Please Note:
Opportunity 1 is a dedicated First Nations opportunity. Local First Nations artists or artistic teams and collaborative teams led by local First Nations artists can apply.

Conceptual Proposals submitted: 5 August 2024
Artist Presentations: 8-9 August 2024
Final Artist/s Selection: 16 August 2024
Design development: mid-August to end of October 2024
Fabrication period: starting end of October 2024
Installation: Early 2025
