Fulton Hogan Construction (FHC) is seeking to engage the services of a suitably qualified and experienced First Peoples artist, artist collaboration and/or artist-led creative team to develop a significant piece of public art which will form an ‘urban marker’ at the intersection of Princes Highway and South Gippsland Highway. Greenshoot Consulting and ACCA are supporting the delivery of this project.
Who Can Apply
This opportunity is open to the following:
•Artists, artist collaborations and/or artist-led creative teams from one of the three local Traditional Owner groups (Wurundjeri, Boon Wurrung, Bunurong) who have previous experience working on complex public artworks or projects of similar complexity.*
•Other First Peoples artists, artist collaborations and/or artist-led creative teams who have previous experience working on large-scale public artworks or projects of similar complexity* working in collaboration with emerging or mid-career artists from one or more of the three local Traditional Owner groups
•Other First Peoples artists, artist collaborations and/or artist-led creative teams who have previous experience working on large-scale public artworks or projects of similar complexity* and who can provide meaningful career development opportunities (e.g. mentoring) for emerging or mid-career artistsfrom one or more of the three local Traditional Owner groups through this project
* Artists without this level of experience are encouraged to consider collaborations or partnerships with relevant parties and would be welcome to contact the project curators to discuss further.
